G-O-O-O-O-A-L-S (according to Malik)........August 28, 2008

Well, yesterday was an interesting day. Last night I discovered that I have finally forgiven President Clinton for lying and generally being an enormous SCHMUCK. I felt that old warm and fuzzy feeling as I listened to his speech at the democratic convention. I felt unified in the warm family embrace of all those Democrats. There were two things that President Clinton said that I thought were worth mentioning.

The power of our example rather than the example of our power (This
relates to correcting our global image)

A THIRD time is NOT the charm. (Relating to having another
Republican in office for a third term)

Here's M. Malik on his first day of school. He's a happy young man to be going back to school and starting 5th grade.

I wanted to share Malik's brilliantly written goals for this new school year. I would like to stress that Malik wrote all but one himself. I'm very proud of my super boy.

Read RSP books as assigned. (My son really struggles with his reading and goes to a special ed class for help, he hates to read these books. Malik is more successful at reading fantasy books like Star Wars, Narnia, and Spiderwick)

The Gas Guzzling World According to Lulu (or call me crazy)......August 19, 2008

I remember back when Carter was president and we had another gas crisis. I had just started driving and gas doubled from 50 cents a gallon to $1. Everyone had large gas guzzling cars and suddenly there was a mad rush by auto makers to design new cars with more economically features. Everyone purchased new cars. This stimulated giant corporations (auto makers) and certainly stimulated the economy. (I see intentional manipulation)

Hmmmmmmmm.......
Life has a funny way of being very cyclical. I also suspect that giant corporations can create (control) just about anything. Here 'we' (people of the US) find ourselves in another economic crisis. What better way to 'stimulate' the economy.....create a gas crisis again. Ohhhh, the public is caught with their gas guzzling car 'pants' down again. Everyone seems to have an Escalade or Jumbotron Expedition or Suburban. US car companies, are about to avert a crisis again.
Ohhhh what a cynical surprise, there is suddenly a gas crisis.

I cannot help but wonder, this all just too obvious to me. BUT this time 'they' are really messing with us. Gas has tripled. The petroleum companies have record profits...........WTH?
